Hi! My name is Kumiko and I'm on a quest to make money online!

As a blogger, I've been doing it since before it was even called 'blogging' and it was simply known as 'having a homepage' which you had to code by yourself in HTML and then upload it to your ISP via a 1400bps modem! A lot has changed since those days and I've seen the blogosphere rise, get exploited and land just about where it is right now.

So why did I start Kumiko's Cash Quest? First - a need for money!! Second, I was inspired after visiting an A-list blog where the webmaster was giving advice to new bloggers. His words of, "if you want to promote your site, get it linked to by a site with lots of visitors - maybe a site with 50,000 visitors a day is enough" got me pretty fired up!

"How is a new blogger expected to be able to this immediately?", I thought! So I made it my mission to start a site that explained honestly, easily and simply how to build, promote and market a website from the beginning - and make a few dollars doing it!

After doing extensive research, I quickly realized that most other sites trying to do this just weren't very good at all. The blogosphere seemed to lack originality and the days of your homepage being an expression of your honest thoughts and feelings seemed to have passed. Too many sites were shining a positive light on systems just make a commission and nobody was prepared to come out and say that they were being fed BS.

Furthermore, most bloggers were just reacting to what A-list bloggers had said and weren't creating their own opinions or thoughts. My goal became to take the BS out of the blogosphere (creating the logophere?) and bring some originality and creativity into the world of 'making money online'! I hope you like the result!
